The Chinese symbol for listening is a union of the symbols for ear, eye, heart, mind, and undivided attention. It tells us that listening is not just a faculty of the ear but a convergence of our senses to be present oriented.

Imagine you have just got back from a vacation to Budapest - brimming with memories and experiences to share with your friend or a work colleague. And as soon as you say Budapest, the other person gets a cue to unpack their stories from Budapest that they visited six years back. Your off the oven, fresh stories are overshadowed by recollection of incidents and occurrences from six years in the past. How does it feel?
Your answer. . .just ensure you aren't the one shifting the limelight on yourself all the time and making the other person feel so. Social desirability is positively correlated to better listening skills.

The levels are not about being good or bad but about being apt or not to the situation you are in.
To provide general guidelines on speaking and improving the skill is a tough nut to crack. Our conversations and the impact they have depend on so many factors including (but not limited to) the content, our tone, our relationship with the other person, the place and time we are having the conversation, the mood of the other person, their personality, our personality, choice of words, accompanying body language, sense of urgency, and the list can go on for at least a few more lines.
I'd urge you to equate good communication as a raised sense of being conscious - can you, in real time, observe, process, evaluate, and accordingly alter your communication to achieve oneness with the other party?
The medium through which you share your message is an indispensable ingredient and probably the most important one too. The credibility of the speaker/source of your message is key for how it will be interpreted.
Content that focuses on satisfying logic for your audience is critical. Including data, facts, true stories, statistics, evidence backed research, and axioms is key for instilling confidence about your message in the audience.
Content that focuses on triggering emotions and feelings in your audeince is crucial. An appeal to humour, joy, fear, pride, pity, desire, anger, sadness, or any other state of being identified by cultures is key for engagement.

Writing a prompt is also writing. Thinking of the next prompt to refine your search is where your writing is still linked to thinking. In essence, except for the world having a very similar voice and style, AI for writing is the way forward. Albeit, the consequences of anything written by AI will still be borne by the AI using author.
